In late December, members of our corporate team and their families took some time out of their busy schedules to assist the local Ronald McDonald house in Lexington, Kentucky. The Ronald McDonald House allows families to access specialized medical treatment by providing a place to stay at little or sometimes no cost. The charity sent out emails asking for help during the holidays for volunteers to fix meals for their residents. Our Office Suites PLUS employees gladly offered their assistance.
The volunteers donate the food supplies and prepare the meal in the house’s kitchen which is filled with the necessary pots, pans and utensils. Volunteers must adhere to health department codes while preparing a balanced meal for residents. Residents are then served by the volunteers who then can sit down and enjoy the meal as well. After everyone is finished, volunteers clean all work surfaces and wash all dishes.
Please remember during holiday seasons that your local charities still need assistance to carry out their services. We all want to enjoy our families and this is a great way to spend quality time and give back to your community.
